Dr Con Dolianitis
After obtaining one of the highest year 12 scores in his year, Dr Con Dolianitis studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne. At the same time he completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Greek and Classical Studies, obtaining honours for most of his university subjects.
Dr Con Dolianitis works in the specialised biologics clinic and the general dermatology clinic at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Con has previously consulted at the Skin & Cancer Foundation in Carlton in both the nail clinic and hair clinic, and the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Con has published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals and has been involved in research and clinical trials. He was awarded a research grant by the Scientific Research fund of the Australasian College of Dermatology for work in melanoma. Con’s research with the Victorian Melanoma Service focused on the use of dermoscopy for the early detection of melanoma. Con completed a Masters of Medicine researching the detection of melanomas using spectrophotometry. He has a particular interest in the early detection of melanomas and monitoring patients at risk of melanoma.
Con is the supervisor of Dermatology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Con is involved in teaching and supervising dermatology trainees as well as medical students of the University of Melbourne. He has served as an examiner and on the selection committee of the Australasian College of Dermatology, as well as the committee of the Victorian Faculty of Dermatology. Con was the convenor of the Australasian College of Dermatology Meeting in Melbourne. He has also worked on the advisory board of multiple pharmaceutical companies and been a reviewer for several dermatology journals.
Con regularly attends local and international conferences to offer patients the latest treatment options. He has been attending the annual meeting of European Academy of Dermatology for the last 10 years. He was awarded the Paul Eddington travelling scholarship by the Skin and Cancer Foundation to attend one of the European meetings.
Con has a particular interest in the early detection and treatment of melanoma and other skin cancers, including the use of non-surgical approaches when appropriate. Con also has significant experience with managing psoriasis and eczema, including use of phototherapy treatment. He has been heavily involved in running the biological therapies clinic for the treatment of severe psoriasis at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Additionally, Con has significant experience in the treatment of acne, hair disorders, nail disorders, men’s dermatological problems and general dermatologic conditions.

Dr Alfonso Perez
Dr. Perez is a highly skilled dermatologist who trained at the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital where he later became a Consultant.
He gained valuable experience in complex dermatological conditions and his areas of interest include immunobullous (blistering) conditions, cutaneous lymphomas, male dermatology conditions and complex psoriasis/eczema cases.
He has an special interest in alopecias and scalp disorders and is a member of the International Trichoscopy Society.

Dr Amanda Saracino
Dr Amanda Saracino is a clinical and academic Dermatologist with experience working in a variety of settings in both Melbourne and London. She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and is also recognised as a consultant Dermatologist by the Royal College of Physicians and General Medical Council in the UK. Amanda can therefore provide expert care for all skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, skin cancer and mole checks. Further, Amanda has extensive expertise in complex medical, inflammatory and autoimmune skin conditions and is a sub-specialist in Connective Tissue Diseases (such as Cutaneous Lupus and Scleroderma). She has a PhD from University College London in the molecular aetiopathogenesis of sclerotic skin diseases.
After finishing Dux of Monash medical school in 2007, Amanda completed her specialty Dermatology training with the Australasian College of Dermatologists at key tertiary referral hospitals in Melbourne and London. During this training she was awarded the Ken Paver and President’s Medals for academic excellence. She later worked for several years at the internationally renowned Scleroderma and Connective Tissue Disease Centre at the Royal Free Hospital in London. Here, she completed a clinical fellowship, was appointed as one of two subspecialty consultant Dermatologists in the joint Dermatology/Rheumatology service, received a number of national and international research awards and grants, and was awarded her PhD. At this time she was also affiliated with the University College London Hospital’s clinical and academic Lupus Unit.
Amanda is widely published in Australian, UK, European and US Dermatology, Rheumatology and Scleroderma medical journals and speaks at local and international seminars and conferences in her sub-specialty field of Connective Tissue Diseases. Her key areas of ongoing research are in the molecular genetics of sclerotic skin diseases and treatment of the skin manifestations of Lupus.
Amanda thoroughly enjoys all aspects of her clinical work, and her genuine care and naturally kind nature are demonstrated by her empathy, patience, clear communication and wholehearted commitment to her patients.
